Pearl Planted illustration is my love letter to Hong Kong. Based on an old sketch I drew when I first arrived to Hong Kong in 2015, I wanted to draw a reminder of why this city is so beloved, even as it goes through hard times. All locations and objects on the tree are real and referenced, from the city's harbors to its local Chinese Orchestra.
